Dr. Sheen prides himself on the level of care and attention he and his staff offer their patients. The goal is to provide individualized dental care of exceptional quality. Through open communication, they strive to develop long-term relationships, treating each patient like a member of the family. Dr. Sheen is extremely proud of his talented staff. Vernon L. Sheen Doctor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Sheen is originally from Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1990. Dr. Sheen started practicing dentistry in Annapolis, MD in 1991.
Continuing education is a personal goal of Dr. Sheen. Since his graduation, he has logged in over a thousand hours of continuing education including, but not limited to, cosmetic dentistry, implantology, periodontal therapy, TMJ disorders and malocclusion. He is a certified Invisalign® provider. This ongoing education contributes greatly to furthering his clinical skills and maintaining his leadership in dentistry. He is currently enrolled in a program focusing on implant dentistry, and recently completed a cosmetic dentistry program at the LSU College of Dentistry, considered to be one of the foremost programs nationwide by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Sheen believes in the community he serves. He is a member of the Annapolis Chamber of Commerce, involved with various charitable organizations, a graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel and Parishioner at St. Mary's Church. Nick Petrinko Registered Dental Hygienist
Nick has worked with Dr. Sheen as his primary hygienist since graduating from the Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Maryland in 1996. He is continuously improving his skills in patient care and increasing his knowledge on the latest techniques in periodontal, or gum, therapy. He has spent hundreds of hours on continuing education with an emphasis on Periodontal disease and its treatment, and on oral health as it relates to systemic conditions. In conjunction with his duties as a hygienist, he focuses on each patient's individual needs and concerns, and is dedicated to assisting his patients achieve overall health and wellness.
Off hours, Nick spends the majority of his time enjoying his family and two sons. Numerous interests, including fly fishing, surfing and gardening, keep him very busy. Madonna Gambrell Registered Dental Hygienist
Madonna has been in dentistry "all my life". Her first exposure to dentistry was through her grandfather, who was a practicing dentist from over 50 years. Patients, young and old, have benefitted from her expertise. Madonna brings to this practice over 30 years of experience. Twelve of those thirty years were spent working with a Periodontist. She literally brings our periodontal department to a whole new level. She is passionate about staying up-to-date with medical and dental advances. She strives to help her patients understand the link between their dental health and whole body health, and the impact a beautiful, healthy smile has on one's confidence and outlook toward life.
Madonna grew up just outside of Washington, DC. She currently resides in Crownsville with her husband. Both her daughter and son are away attending college. She enjoys gardening and all water sports.
Nikki Faudree Certified Dental Chairside Assistant
Nikki has worked with Dr. Sheen since 1994. She can be found either working chairside, assisting in the care of our patients, or, more frequently, in the business office assisting our patients with various administrative duties. Nikki is currently a member of the National Association of Dental Assistants and is certified in expanded chairside function. This broad dental knowledge makes her an invaluable asset to our practice. Her regular participation in continuing education courses keeps her in the forefront in both the clinical and administrative arenas. Nikki's forte is her interaction with our patients, delivering them comfort and compassion before, during and after treatment.
Nikki is a native of Annapolis. She enjoys riding her motorcycles, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team. Connita Wilson Office Administrator
Connita is the Executive Director for Dr. Sheen's office. She has over 28 years of dental experience, from assisting to practice management. With this knowledge, she can assist our patient's with their administrative needs and answer any clinical questions that may arise. She loves working with people. You will find her to be extremely professional, courteous and caring.
Connita currently resides in Crofton. Family is important to her and she makes every effort to spend as much time with them as possible. She enjoys traveling to small local towns for shopping and site seeing, or to Florida and the Carribean for some rest and relaxation. Connita is an avid reader of mystery novels, especially those by author James Patterson. More recently, she has taken an interest in rubber stamping and scrapbooking.

Deborah Krupansky Certified Clinical Assistant
Deborah joined our dental team in 2006. She brings with her over 15 years of experience. Her vast knowledge of dental procedures makes her a great source of information should any questions arise.
Deborah is outgoing and energetic, and definitely a "people person". Deborah currently resides in Eastport, taking advantage of all that Annapolis has to offer. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her bulldog Winston.
